This programme starts with a foundation year designed to support students who want to study psychology but need additional academic preparation. It builds up your study skills, critical thinking, and understanding of social issues before progressing to more advanced psychology topics. Once into the main degree, you’ll explore a broad range of core psychology modules—such as cognitive, developmental, social, biological psychology—and research methods (both quantitative and qualitative). You also pick electives in years 2 & 3 covering areas like forensic psychology, sport & exercise psychology, occupational psychology, clinical & health psychology, neuropsychology, cyber-psychology, gender & sexuality. Teaching includes blended learning: both online study and classroom/tutor-led sessions. Assessments are varied—case studies, group work, reports, presentations, role plays, reflective tasks, a major research project. The programme is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS), meaning that if you get at least a 2:2 you are eligible for Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership.
